Default looking for low 11's

anybody have suggestions on how to go low 11's on a lt1.
on top of what i already have, i was thinking of 306 cam, forged pistons, some N2O, an upgraded fuel system from aeromotive, and some tuning.

or i am in dreamland and need some one to wake me up.

LT4 manifold, ported heads, 100-150 shot, lose that hypertech pp. or, just stroke it. good luck

LT4 manifold wont do any good with LT1 head castings.

if you just want low 11s and are willing to spray it, you dont need heads or a cam. bolt ons and a 150-175 shot will do it. you dont need an aeromotive fuel system. just a walbro 255 intank with stock lines will easily support low 11s

actually i take that back... if you are only going 13.6s with your current mods, nitrous wont get you to the low 11s. you should be running better than 13.6 with your mods. are you running on bad radials, or at high altitude?

13.6 isnt to bad, it might be a Trans Am and just heavy. If its an auto, get a converter, like a Vig 3200, 3.73 gears, lighten it up, some Comp 3 way drag shocks, set of tires, 150 shot. That should put you in the 11s.

Actually, I am looking at a converter and gears to add on my list. My plan is to have a full bolt-car with custom tunning, 306 cam, forged pistons and upgraded fuel system. But since chevyguy3 said I wont need that entire fuel system just a walbro 255 intank that is even better. My plans are spraying atleast a 175-200 shot of nitrous with those mods I listed. Is that possible? Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

i have a bolt on Trans Am,9" rear,8pt rollbar and runs 12.3's with stock heads/cam.

on a 175 shot it runs 11.0's all day. walbro 255 intank, stock fpr, stock injectors.Car should run 10's very soon,if not the 200 jets go in.

if you plan on cam etc i dont see a problem with low 11's at all.

walbro fuel pump, gears, big converter, tires, weight reduction and 175 shot should do it. To be safe, forged pistons, ARP rold bolts, race bearings of your choice, aftermarket oil pump. 306 cam is a tad big for stock heads and intake but if you plan on heads and cam in the future, go for it.

psh, bigger the better in my opinion hehe, j.k. You dont want to go to big because you might spray right through the converter with that big of a shot. Plus, nitrous increases your torque output moreso than hp so take advantage of that. I would use about a 3600 and spray right outta the hole, but the 2800 is a great converter for daily drivers and will still get you outta the whole nicely.

Get a set of A F R's and a strong built motor plus a little gas, and your there.

I have a 3200 in my TA, sees daily driving, once your use to it, no problem at all.
