How reliable are the EWP's, and what's the best brand.

Talking about a car that may take several hundred mile road trips. Are they as reliable as the stocker for that?

Been running my Mizere for 3 years now (30K) without an issue.
I've done many long cruises around the miswest with it.
CSR makes a good pump too.

You treat an EWP the same as you do a stocker.
If it dies, you have to replace it.

 

its a good idea to rig up a light that will come on when it fails just to be on the safe side

 

You mean aside from the water temp gauge and "check gauges" light that comes on when you start to overheat?

But yeah, wiring in a light to indicate a loss of power to the EWP (blown fuse, or otherwise) is not a bad idea.

 

I have a CSR with over 50,000 miles on it and have made a couple 3500 mile road trips with it. I carry a spare pump in the car but have never had to use it.

 

Meziere HD two years strong and running

 

indeed, some people dont notice those things until its too late. im a lil OCD when it comes to watching my gauges but hiding a light inside a vent is still a good idea.

 

I have had a Meziere for about ( 1 yr )10k miles without any troubles. No roadtrips longer than about 6 hours though. Keeps it about 185-190 even hot lapping it at the track.

I have a meziere and drive in stop and go traffic in the Texas heat. No problems....
