Rebuild question

Rebuild question So lets say I buy a used LT1 shortblock to rebuild and I want to reuse the stock rotating assembly. Do I have to have the rotating assembly rebalanced if I use my flywheel and hub? Im trying to keep it a budget build so any help would be great.
no u would not have to rebalance it. i would suggest putting new piston rings n it though. if u go that route stamp the rods and mains so that they go back in the same place u took them out of.
Are you going to be reusing the stock valve train? Then I would suggest either buying or making a nice valvetrian organizer tray. It will ensure that the rocker, bearing, nut, and pushrod all go back in their original location. Which is key to prevent excessive wear.

Alright now if I bore this .030 over, will i be able to use the stock pistons? If not what would be a good low cost piston to use. This motor will never see boost and probably around 380 rwhp.
