Wow, I had 153k on the clock when I blew my old motor. But it was eating and puking oil for a long time before it kicked the bucket. I had to add like a quart of oil in less than two weeks every time, no joke.
It's was nice to have a brand new motor to tear open and install all NIB valvetrain and bolt-ons.

Yes, 3000+ stall & 3.73 gears will make it a whole different car.

If you are going through the hassle of putting full bolt-ons and a little weight reduction on your DD, then yes. It will really wake up the car.

Would recommend Yank Super Stock Converters... They run $725 at www.ls1speed.com (go under c5 vette since its the same engine on some models) and specify what year/make/model your car is

Thumbs up

If you put a stall in your dd, make sure it's a lockup. Put in a set of 1.6 rockers. Cheap 20-25 hp and easy to do. Comp magnums will do. ATI has converters.

you can get used good converters for 400 bucks all day long.. and for that price (besides nitrous) NO other mod will give you as much of an E/T reduction.. it is by FAR the best mod for an a4.. IMO its the first mod that should be done..

when you cam your car later, you will need a stall anyone..

i would do a stall before anything, like i said you can get a good one for about 400 bucks used, sometimes cheaper.. my buddy just bought a brand new yank 3600 for 500 bucks still in the box..
