Default valve covers

i have a set of cantons sitting on my motor..here is the problem, they will not clear my ac box or power brake booster on my 98 sonoma...what other valve covers are you running that clear the 1.6 pro mags with poly locks and the f-body alternator?? i would like to stay away from the stock stamped steel valve covers if at all possible...

thanks ahead of time..

There is a vendor on eBay (fatrodder I think is the name) that sells a nice polished aluminum cover for around $80. I have purchased two sets and am very impressed with the fit and finish - no leaks whatsoever. They also include snazzy countersunk hex head bolts. Downside is they are NOT compatible with an OVC plug wire setup because of the bolt design. If they clear my Crane Golds, they should have no problem with the Pro Mags, as they (Cranes) are a narrower-bodied rocker.

The Canton's look superb, but many have complained of fitment issues.

If I remember correctly, those are the "fatrodder" covers that Joe is talking about.

I run the Proform 141-131, polished is 141-130. I did have to grind a spot on the alt. Easy task, theres a write-up somewhere.

These are the valve covers I'm using. Takes like 2 min. to grind the back of the back of the alternator for proper clearance.
