Basically when your driving down the road and punch it your rpm's jump to the stall speed and build from there. You have higher shift extension so when the car shifts your rpm's do not drop as far down as they would with the stock stall therefore you are in your powerband more and its equates to better ET's and you being faster from a roll. You can also hold the brake at the line like you said and launch at a higher rpm. I can hold mine up to high 2000's but my 60' foot times were actually best launching just off idle at about 1100-1200rpm.

Looks like you were getting out the hole pretty well at the track. What tires were you running? And thanks for posting those vids up. I really like that stall.

Yeah thats pretty good considering they cost $175 a piece new. I paid $180 for my used M/T and rims and thought that was a killer deal, go for it.

Just wondering are you on stock bottom end? I thought I saw you hit up to 6,700rpm. Took a print screen.

Getting my stall was the best mod I've done hands down. No other mod knock off more tenths than the Vig. And your city gas mileage is gonna way down, I average 10.5 mpg. If I had to start all over again the Vig or Yank would be my 1st mod.

Yeah his timing was way off. His times def suffered. I figured something was off when I saw high 12's.

Yes I'm on the stock bottom end. The MPH shift tables in my tune done by a local was wayyy off and the car was revving out just under 7000rpm via the tach (should have been 6400). Only had it up there just a few times and doubt it would hold together if I did it anymore.

Yup, ran the same ET and trapped 4mph higher when I had the stock stall and different tuning lol. Its all in the tune. Moral of the story...stick to a reputable LT1 tuner.

Yeah the tune really plays the overall role in how your car will perform. After my mail tune something didn't feel right. Had it dynoed and the tune was garbage. Put my stock tune back in and it ran perfect. I'm really leary of mail tunes now. Won't touch them ever again.

yeah i have the Tuner Cats with the ALDL cable and i have changed the gear ratio's and dropped my shift points to 5100 RPM in each gear.

still reaserching tuning so i have a better understanding so that way i can tune my own car!
