?????????????????Check this out???????????????? just replaced knock sensor and made a huge difference in power
my question=I have a check engine light on (code 11)(obd1), which is my service engine light bulb is out, if i get this lighting issue fixed will my cooling fans stay off when i first start the engine hot or cold???
my cooling fans turn on shortly after starting the engine hot or cold

Are you talking about the knock module or the knock sensor? Neither one will increase power by itself, unless you are suffering from severe detonation (only noticed by monitoring knock counts) via Freescan, etc.
The knock sensor itself will not increase power. The power increase you feel is most likely psychological. If you're knock sensor was bad you would see DTC 43.
Getting the bulb (or wiring) fixed will fix the cooling fan issue.
