Are you talking about the air bag that fits inside the coil spring?? If so, I have a right rear air bag and they work great!!

You only need the passenger side rear. Try 15 PSI to start with. They work great.

I presume they help to cut down on the frame twist on the launch and aid to keep the car level for improved traction. But apparently I don't know anything according to many users lol

As I understand it, it's not so much to do with frame twist. There is a certain amount of that going on if you don't have connectors and a cage, etc. But, on the initial hit the body will roll towards the passenger rear and the axle will want to "ride" up the ring gear. The air bag uses the body movement to "plant" both tires. A big sway bar and good shocks will do the same thing, but the air bag adds fast adjustment for track conditions when used with them.

Doh, that's actually what I was trying to convey heh Not actual twisting.

Oh well, you cleared it up lol

I run 5psi on driver's side and 20psi on pass side. I thought they were well worth the $$

Wow, this is great Info...

Has anyone noticed that this mod helps with 'wobble'? Since the 4.10s, she's had a 'wobble'... that word describes it best...

It use to be that I could drive that car down the track with one finger... I mean it was nothin'.

Recently, she explodes out of the whole and is all over the place... it takes serious steerage to keep her down the middle. Has anyone else noticed this? And did this mod help with this wobble?

BTW: I deleted the front sway bar months ago and it lightened the load and added some traction... never had a problem before the new gears. Of course since the Mickey's traction hasn't been a problem... so maybe the swaybar should go back on... I dunno.

I have had good success running 10-12 psi on the pass side. They do work.

How much rear tire pressure are you running. I generally run 15 psi in bias-plys and anything over 18 psi in radials.

Only way to tell is to try it. Get a feel for the track with some consistent 60ft. times, then air up the bag and see what happens. I run 20lbs. in mine and it definately seems to help with the nitrous launches.

I was runnin' 13 lbs... too low? That makes sense... I started with 23 lbs which worked perfect with no slippage for a couple of weeks... then inevitably I broke loose and dropped it 10 lbs and have yet to brake loose on that set up.

That was the week before we installed the 4.10s... I'll run it up to 18 next week and see if that helps. Thanks.

I thought the use of a proper rear swaybar eliminated the need for these.

I have a BMR Extreme sway bar in my car. I have it set at zero preload and use the air bag instead. I feel that it performs better down track that way. My Stocker cuts low 1.3 sixty foot times on 9" tires.

OH! Ok...

I started on the 20"s... I'm gonna play with the pressure in the Mickeys this week and see if that changes anything.

I just noticed that you are running an 11.5" tire. What size rim are you using? If you are running a wide tread on a narrow rim it can be hard to find the sweet spot. If you have too much pressure they will have a crown and only have contact in the center of the tread. If they don't have enough air they will cup which causes the outsides of the tread to have contact.
