i have only ever had good luck with stock manifold gaskets on all my sbc's.

you sure you put it on the right way? were the ports cleaned off?

i get the same thing when the car warms up. im thinking its the lifters or a pushrod. i already popped the VCs off and tightened the rockers blindly without backing them off first. still there.

Ports were clean and no matter how I put them on they still leaked.
