I think it could be done. It will take a ton to do it, but it can be done.

I know nitrous is a power adder but if it were on a stock motor. Is there any kind of record for stock motor cars (meaning heads cam all internals stock)

I read a quote a while back that was along these lines:

"Drag racing is a money game, how fast do you want to go?"

yes POWER ADDER thank you i said i understand that, but is there any type of record... for a stock motored car with a power adder considering the fact that you can only go so far with boost and such with a POWER ADDER

i believe the power adder record for a stock LT1 is 10.68... and its a procharger setup, i believe...

my long term goals r to hit 11.80 or faster bolt on only (the long standing bolt on only record prior to this past season) then throw a dual stage nitrous setup on it and see what happens! hopefully beating 10.68, then build a real motor when this one blows up

I could see it if a bolt on lt1 motor was swapped into something lighter

2900 LBS, pull the stock motor down and balance it, big ole stall, all the bolt ons, one of those light moser rears, take the wiring harness apart and pull all the not needed wires out.

I think its possible. Search gismo I think he has went 6's in the 8th.
