your best bet is just to go with the GM one. if you buy a cheap one you will end up like me buying and replacing another one 6 months later

Get an AC DELCO or Delphi one from "thepartsladie' or thepartslady it the store name in ebay. She gots a good rep with alot of people around here and all the parts are oem. Last time i checked she had em for $250 around that price. Good luck and do it once and do it right.....

DON'T BUY THE JEGS OPTI!!!

A few years back, I was getting a P0336 code, car was stumbling, backfiring, no power. I could barely beat a v6 Mustang.

I bought the Jegs opti and installed it. The car got some power back, but the code never went away. Two weeks, yes...TWO WEEKS later, my car died on the freeway. Trouble shooted for a week, finally pulled the opti off and when I removed the cap, the rotor and both rotor screws fell to the ground.

I then saw the light and ordered an AC Delco opti from "thepartsladi" on Ebay. Car got ALL of the power back, code disappeared, and all was well.
Please order a geniune AC Delco or Delphi distributor from thepartsladi. You'll thank me later.

P.S. Don't forget to remove the cap and thread lock the rotor screws on your new opti.

I bought my GMPP opti from Winchendon MA, Gmc, buick, pontiac. It was fair priced at 295-
and has been great. If you make the wise decision to go with oem and want the number of the Winchendon dealership I am good friends with the parts manager Jim. So let me know

No one has better prices on OEM genuine AC Delco/Delphi opti's than "thepartsladi", no one.

For those of you who don't know, "thepartsladi" is a parts department of a Chevy Dealership. I think they are down south somewhere, don't remember though. But it's genuine GM parts.

$245 + shipping.

I have a factory original laying around that I took off my 95 last spring.
It has 35K miles on it. Was working fine. Got a deal on an MSD Billet I put in before Power Tour.

Anyone need one, I'll pass it along for $40.

The JEGS opti works fine, I have been running it for a while with my Accel 300+ ignition, and supercharger setup . . . . . I did switch the cap over to a MSD to recieve better spark/longevity.

You are one of the lucky ones. Seems as though there is a failure rate around 50% of MSD/Jegs optispark owners. My MSD crapped out 2 months after I bought it.
