740-16 retainers and 613-16 locks should work fine with the 987s.

CC306 is 230/244, .510"/.540" 112 LSA. Those lift numbers are with 1.5 rockers however. With 1.6s, you're looking at .544"/.576.

987 springs bind around .620", depending on installed height - well within the range of the 306.

Hmm...
I just copied and pasted the cam specs off of Ai's website. I think the ones you posted is correct though.
Those spring specs are off of JEG's description.

anyone have a good article for measuring install height? I have a .555 lift cam right now, with 987s, and i want to throw probably around a .590 lift cam in . I'm hoping my install height isnt too high so i dont have to swap out my springs.

I don't understand why you would have to change your installed height. If the spring can handle the lift of the new cam, then it should be fine as is. Sorry if I am mistaken. What is the current installed height? 1.8"? 1.75"?

thats the problem. Previous owner never told me/forgot, so i dont know what the install height is. I think im just gonna stick with the 987s. However, with a new cam I will have to check pushrod length again correct?

If you are not changing the heads, deck height, gasket thickness, etc and only doing a cam swap, then your applicable pushrod length should not change.
