Cam opinions
I got no problem admitting it when I am wrong, or I make a mistake. That said, my work was done right.
Bret's cams are hit or miss because the guy was always experimenting and using hopeful customers for guinea pigs. I was one of them.
The first motor I ran that cam in was a stock bottom end with my LPE heads. Here's the story on that https://ls1tech.com/forums/11218171-post70.html
The cam survived all that, and I ran it in a 383. I later switched back to a stock bottom end running all the same parts and car setup as I did on those previous setups, but with the AI 226/234 cam. It runs better with a crappy tune than the 383 did with Bauer's cam and a good tune.

Yup agreed. Quite a few people had issues with his 224/230ish >.600" cams. One of my best friends and I are both running a 224/230 with .570's lift and XFI lobes from him (used to be offered thru Lloyd w/ his packages) and the cam is absolutely amazing. So that there shows some inconsistancy issues. Lloyd Elliott and Advanced Induction both have stellar cam reputations so they would get my vote. Honestly haven't heard of a single complaint on either.
