K&N air filter for 97 SS

K&N air filter for 97 SS anyone ever figure out a part number or anything? i'm tired of looking at the ugly *** white paper filter i'm stuck with. i got a K&N for it a couple years ago and it was too small...said wouldn't fit the ss box but i tried it anyway and it was too short and too thin. just wondering if anyone found anything that worked or what other people are doing besides a cold air kit

I think one of the two bolded ones should fit.

and djjab...i see those...but my car is black and the badges are red...i know it sounds lame but i want the k&n cause it would match the theme, lol

Actually K&N doesn't make one for the SS (filter box on intake) they said they did not have enough demand. What I used was Jeep Grand Cherokee and fit very well. I got that info from here a few years back. Don't remember what year or the part #.

i actually just ordered one that i believe was either for a jeep or dodge ram...measurements were close so i'll get it here and see if it fits. i'll send it back if it doesn't

The one I have in my car fits perfectly, all I had to do was ask the guy nicely and he let me take a few out to my car to test fit them. One is perfect.
