What do you mean? I cut and pasted the whole plate from the bumper and only moved it up between the lights :\ No resizing at all, only manipulation was a bit of color enhancement, blurred the edges and then blurred out the plate number.

That is a spectacular idea... I always hated those bumpers but now like them

I don't think you even have to have a new one made... Here's what I would to:

Cut the holes for the CME, paint the area satin black...

Put a diffuser blade (you can get them off ebay) in the middle of the old exhaust openings...

Install CME.

Should look killer

Phire wanted this (I think at least haha) and so I did what I could!

Not sure what you mean by the diffuse though, 6LE. If you mean that weird metal piece you place in a cut out section, we have a thread on that. We all thought they were ugly as sin lol

EDIT: OK brain dead here forgot to attach the pics >_>

I don't like the bumper sticking out in the last 2 pics, but I like the dropped version, and the version next to it (in the attached images).

I say you go ahead and do it.

Not exactly what I had in mind I guess a better way to say it is to make the entire rear bumper flush. Minimize that weird extension for the license plate bay or at least make it more subtle. I'll photoshop it tonight I've just been lazy. Someone makes a kit put me in line to buy one

I know what you mean now. I wouldn't want mine to look like that though :\ It would still need to retain it's Firebird styling, if only just partially.

Pulled in tonight and remembered to look at the bumper and area to route the pipping. To put it where it's at, there SHOULD be enough room for the pipe, but you may need to BFH the rear cargo dip a little bit just to be safe at least. To fit the tips though, you'd need to cut away part of the bumper itself (not the cover), what I only can surmise is there for added strength. I couldn't find a picture of a rear bumper support for a F-Body, so here's a crude side-view of one. And mind you, this would only have to be removed from the center area, not the whole thing.

Between |...| I'm not sure about, but it's possible it would need to be notched back there for added clearancing.

X Is what WILL have to go so you can mount it up high enough.

There's still a slight issue with head though, as I'm not sure how hot the pipping would get given the air flow in that area. Might be able to get away with some sort of coating on either the exhaust or the body/plastic areas.
