4l60e swap

what is different between a 4l60e off a 00 camaro and a 96 lt1? can one off an ls1 bolt up to the lt1?

I don't believe so.. The 4l60e I pulled out of my lt1 camaro is different than the 4l60e I pulled out of my buddys 99 ls1 camaro. The bellhousing on a lt1 has a inspection cover over the bottom and the bellhousing on an ls1 goes all the way around the converter. if your somewhere near Michigan I got a LT1 4l60e you can have for $100

I believe both the bell housing and the input shaft is different, not sure what else. You should be able to swap them over if you have both transmissions.
