Just curious, but how did you get just the headers? Didn't all of them came with the y-pipe? I know mine did.

Chances are no one has yet tried fitting a different y-pipe with them because they always come with one.

Y pipes aren't universal fit, sounds like you might be better off building your own at a local exhaust shop if you can't get the LPP version...

I know this isn't helping your problem, but why didn't you buy the LPP y-pipe?

When I bought my Pacesetter longtubes I went right away and ordered the Pacesetter y-pipe, fit flawlessly. I would look and find an LPP y-pipe man, the fit will be perfect.

Sounds like the perfect excuse to go true duals.

X2 on TD... I think the Y pipe is gonna cost you around $200, esp if its SS. After looking at what I have installed with the LPP on my car I'd almost be ready to ditch it and have a custom one made up, if not just make it myself just because I really need one with 2 Cats on it and the way the LPP setup is you can only use 1 and the placement isn't really correct as far as the Cat actually functioning. Also the LPP piece comes really close to the BMR TA relocation bracket I'm using which I had to grind a corner off and again I'm not really happy.

What does the rear look have to do with anything? get a good TD system and it will look like the stock with dual rear exits...

Anyhow looks like your making something up unless you find a LPP Y pipe to buy....

Trans Ams have cutouts for the rear tips in the rear bumper. I agree...it looks kind of funny without the tips being there. On a Formula though, it's a bit more acceptable as there are no cutouts for the tips. You Z28 guys have nothing to worry about.

I think he meant just run the true duals out to the rear; not dump them pre-axle or side exit.
