call AI or LE, they will set you up well for a cam taylored to your needs, don't waste time trying to get a cam spec'd by comp, they will most likely just stick you with a cookie cutter off the shelf cam

I doubt this is the first time someone wanted a streetable cam for a 383 lol so they should have plenty of experience with it

plus streetable is a very objective term, to some guys a car that simply doesn't boil over is streetable where as some guys a car with any lope isn't streetable

well many cams can do that with the proper supporting mods

I've seen plenty of people DD the gm847 (234/242 .539/.558) with stock heads and cubes. same can be said of the cc306 (230/244 .510/.540). ported heads and cubes will only make that cam more liveable and tame. not telling you to go out and get a GM847 but just giving you a point of reference

If I remember correct your having going with an AI heads/cam package right? I would call up Phil or Ron and basically tell them what your goal is but also that you want to be able to drive it on the street and it not stall out etc. I wouldn't be afraid to tell them everything because they know what they're talking about so Im sure they would take care of you. Alot of the drivability will have to do with the tune as well.

yea that was my plan but the tea 220cc trickflows just caught my eye so now im thinkin bout using tea heads and AI for intake and cam work. reason for thinkin bout this is TEA is about $800 cheaper and have had similiar results. ill contact AI and see i still need to fully make my mind up about the heads.
