Refresh
Refresh My LT1 is getting some high mileage on her but doesn't burn a drop of oil. And Ive been thinking of refreshing the internals. What do you guys recommend I get to do this. I know the obvious stuff like a ring set, rod/crank bearing set, camshaft bearings and a complete gasket set but what about all the little stuff that might need to be replaced?
I'm not doing a entire rebuild just refreshing some of the internals. Basically replacing all bearing and seals and any part that's worn out. I guess I'm basically asking are there any parts like valve guides, valve seals and the like that might need to be replaced. I'm trying to getting things put together before I tear down into the engine.
oil shaft, coupler, pick-up, pump (preference based), etc
take the heads to a reputable shop to have them inspected, they can tell you the quality of the components and freshen them up if needed be
