well its been awhile since i updated. ive been very busy with work and havent had much time to work on my car. today was the first day in a week that ive had any down time to get things rolling again. i finished porting and polishing my heads. i think they came out Great! i cant wait to see how it pulls uptop with my cam. i also cleaned up the engine bay and got the motor mounts ready for replacing. intake and brackets are painted and ready. my speed pro power forged pistons will be in monday and tuesday the machine shop gets everything! and hopefully next weekend the block will be ready for installment! god i can only hope and prey! here are some pics of everything

dirty

not so dirty lol

i think my color combo is going to look sharp. ive never seen an all orange lt1 with cast aluminum intake. should be interesting!

Looks great!

I'll be interested to see how that color combo works out too, something a little different than the normal orange.

i really love how the 60's sbc looked with hugger orange everything and the cast alum intake. so valve covers, block and maybe the water pump are going to be hugger orange. i cant wait to see it all done up!

You should pull out the heater box while the motor is out. Weight reduction.

mocking up the crank to make sure shes good

thanks alot guys! today ill be getting the oil pump along with afew other small things. ill have to wait till tomorrow for everything else to get installed but itll be ok. im much more concerned about having it done right then rush it and have something give out on me as for the engine bay i have alot more to clean up. but like i said i could do that after the engine is in and running. thats my #1 priority now.
