factory rocker studs are 3/8 correct

Correct, but for peace of mind you should get ARP 7/16" studs.
The part number for the ProMags I gave you is for a 7/16" stud.

Here is the part number for the ARP rocker arm studs: 134-7103

EDIT: Every part number I listed is available from Summit, that's where I got all my parts.

yea but if i am goin to have problems with the guide plates letting my push rods line up correctly i should do away with them and get sa ones shouldn't i

I am using the TF guideplates with no problems. I read about many people using them with no problems. When you install them with the arp rocker are studs, make sure they are as centered as possible when you torque the studs down. My pushrods and rockers fit like a glove. Didn't notice anything awry when I adjusted the rockers with the engine running for final valve lash setting.

i'm jjust goin to go with new lifters and comp pro mag with 3/8 studs and trick flow guide plates... i hate spending more my budget is over shot for sure with this ...

Well if you are already removing the studs to bolt on new guideplates, why not spend the extra ~40 bucks on ARP rocker arm studs and just order the rockers for 7/16" studs instead of the ones for 3/8" studs? I know things add up fast, but might as well put the best parts in, especially if the exact same amount of work is required.
