Default 95 -97 hooker supper comp headers

does anyone here run these if so what plugs and wires are you running i have trouble with my plug boot touching my header right at the cat conection weld

You might try to pick up some Accel heat insulating spark plug sleeves. They slip over the plug boots and provide extra heat protection. I am running them on my car.

they are a aluminum peice that slips on the boot i have them off old wire set but with it touching the header wont it heat the boot and burn it

i have hooker shorty super comp header on my 96 z28
all i did was put a good enough dent in it
& on the spark plug boot i put some heat sheld w/a tin piece from the exhaust manifold
2 hold it on & that solve my problem & i got msd 8.5 spark plug wires on mine

are you running stock size plugs i heard i could get accell short plugs
