Default Problem Lt1 Idles and will not acclerate

I have been working on a 94 lt1 Z28. When I got the car it had been sitting for a year and would not run. The car had spark but very weak. I replaced the ICM, Coil, Plugs, wires and the Opti. The rotor inside the opti was melted. Now the car will fire right up and idle. But the car will not take the gas. When you give it gas it just does not rev-up. It doesnt die out it does nothing. It is really weird any help would be appreciated. BTW It also had dead gas in the tank and I drained the tank and and put in new gas. And fuel pressure is about 40.

This may seem a bit obvious, but have you checked the throttle cable?

I concur.

Is the engine idling normally? (no pings, clicks, etc.)

If the TB blades open and NOTHING changes, something is wrong (but you knew that already). When more air is allowed to enter, not matter from where, the rpm should change. Never heard of that happening, don't know what you should check on first.

I guess you could try pulling the rail and see if the injectors are firing properly.
