The odds of finding an un-cracked dash pad (called a crash pad I think) in a junkyard is SLIM.

i've been looking for one here because mine was pulled, but not cracked, untill my buddy put his weight on it and broke it in like 7 pieces. No junk yards around here have any. They send all sports cars more up north...it sucks

Don't sweat it man, it was probably brittle with age, it would have cracked eventually. Time for a new one.

The dash pads are horrible for cracking and breaking on these cars. If you want a quality one you'll have to either go ebay or a dealer.

i think partsladi has one on ebay, should be like 250ish bucks. only other option is a dealer and they can be like 350. my mechanic broke mine and i needed a new one and my dad got it for me for like 250 - i think thats the net price (not list). since he knows a lot of people in the industry got it cheaper. and yes the dash pads suck and crack at the slightest touch. i mean they been in the sun twelve years or so havent they?

also i am beginning to hate those plastic rivets

I want to say they are $136 at GMpartsdirect. Or you can look on here on tech, someone did a great writeup on repairing cracked dash pads.

It may not be the best idea to repair it. Not ******* on people that do, but that's only asking to get a crack in another place, get po'ed about it, and end up spending money again buying a new one.

I just bought one from gmpartsdirect for my 95 T/A and it's gone up. The price was $180 plus $45 shipping (OUCHHH). You will be hard pressed to find one that is not cracked or doesn't have the clips broken off on the backside. Just bite the bullet and get a new one. If you can't find it on GMPartsdirect, drop them an email with your year, VIN and what you need and they will get you the part # as I looked and it would not come up under my year but they still carried it.

The dash repair thread. At least give it a look at, one of the steps is to wrap it in vinyl, thread claims its flexible and stands up to the sunlight better. Hell I'm going to try it as my dash is cracked in about 4 pieces, especially now that the price has gone up on a new one. The damn crazy prices on plastic pieces pisses me off!

I bought a Carpet that is the same identical size as the Piece that cracks.. mine cracked when I was doing my T56 Swap. I put the Carpet in and it looks flawless. I paid $35 for it from Ebay.

Mine has been broke and out for quite awhile and I never bothered to get one, I called the other day to get one and my price has gone from 130 or so to 240 for it. My friend said that gm jacked the prices up on alot of parts. Paying back the feds I guess.
