Default Unique intake idea...

I wish I woulda had a camera with me last night... My buddy was showin me his LT1 intake he had modified. He milled down the "ridges" on the top till it was completely smooth. Then he had "LT1" cnc'd, running back to front and polished the whole top of it. Anyone ever seen anything like that? It looked pretty sweet! I thought it was very unique. Didn't even look like the same intake with no ridges on top. I'll try to get some pics next time I go to his house.

I guess if you have the time. My intake covers my intake manifold, so I don't really get to look at my intake mani.

I've seen that same thing done before, but can't remember for the life of me where. Thought it was done on either a blue or green car...

hmm seen it done a few times. I'd rather add material though since we are not blessed with a large enough plenum even at 350ci.

Here is a my take on modding the stocker
Kinda of a teaser pic, should be done with it completely before too long

Well when its finished I plan on having it tested on many cars. There is a Cam/bolt-on car local that wants to try it out at the track. I have a Blown setup that I will ultimatley try it out on too.
I'll talk about the intake in great detail when I am ready to show it off a little, lol.
I got a few guys in mind with 383, ported LT1 head/Cam cars on the board that would make great test cars.

I milled my intake and engraved PONTIAC when I did my head/cam swap about 5 years ago.

There are more pics in the link in my sig.

I have not had one problem with removing the "fins" from the intake so far. The only thing I noticed is you can hear the valves, not rockers as much. It’s a really different sound, but doesn't appear to hurt anything. A friend of mine has a HRS on his 89 formula and I milled the fins off of it and it has the same sound.
