You need a 315/60 running mid 10's or did I miss something?

Bowman ran a 7.80 on 275/60's

Alright i finally did it ,,325s at the back and skinnies up front
btw tires stick past rear bumper cover not the fenders ,it tucks right in the bottom of the fender with the lips rolled.

Don't like that look either. Looks like it has Super Swampers on it. Scenery is bad *** though...

I now have 17x11 ZR1's out back wrapped in 315 Goodyear Eagle F1's. I love the look! The ZR1's are OEM off of a vette, so the back spacing is perfect and they don't stick out like off road tires at all. I had to roll the fenders and do the BFH mod to the inside of the wheel well because my car is slammed.

Im on 295/35/18's and love the look. They just barely stick out. Perfect for my tastes.

At what point in time do too fat tires like in the pic, start to hinder performance right after the launch?

Clearly those things should hook well, then you are robbing power with all of the mass.

The entire time because they have more rolling resistance and way more. If you can hook on a smaller tire it helps.
I dont like the pic the op posted either. I like them tucked a bit more.

^^^ Fixed.

I'll take a pick of my car with 11" rims and 315 tires. Looks sweet, not stupid like that pic posted above. And the wieght difference of a rim that is only 1.5 inches wider doesn't seem like a big deal.
