Default Removing AIR and EGR

On my new engine I am removing the EGR system and AIR system. I am keeping the stock manifolds b/c I am running a rear mount turbo.
On top of each manifold there is a diaphram of some type with a rubber hose connected to it. How can I remove the tubing at least, preferably the diaphrams as well, in my efforts to clean up the engine bay?
I already have 2 of the 3 block off plates, guess I will have to fashion the one that goes on the passenger's side manifold.

I got a set from a company called R&D Speed out of Arizona...cost about $20 and has 2 plates to block off where the EGR used to go and has the 2 plugs you need to take those tube/diaphragms off and plug them with these stainless plugs. If all you need is the plugs they sell that too for like $10. They have a website and delivered fast.

From looking at the pics, you have dual cats, i.e. you have a '96-'97 (should be in your sig). I believe '96-'97 stock manifolds have the smaller plug which needs a M18 plug to cap off.

i went to a local hardware store and bought a closed pipe end. ill take pictures in a lil bit and post them.

this is on a set of crappy pacesetter mid tubes. but you get the idea and ive never had them leak. i just threw some RTV on them and it doesnt have any problems. i know its not the prettiest thing in the world but it gets the job done. untill i can order LTs without emissions.

slp, you are correct on both counts. It is a 97 Formula, and I keep mucking with my signature, so it is not currently listed there.

the ones on my headers look like a male -AN fitting. instead of using the plug i need a cap. anyone know the size?

I just cut the pipe flush with the fittings and welded them up. If you got a wire welder, it might not be the best looking solution, but its cheap.

Don't want to hijack but I don't want to clutter up the forums with another new thread. Anyone know what the plug sizes are for stock single-cat manifolds?

Are they M22 x 1.5 for all 93-95s?

take a 7/16 wrench and put it up to the hole on the manifold it it is the same size you need the 22mm plug.. MOST 93-95 will take the bigger 22mm plug
