Default Got a 2nd job for modding money :(

Unfortunately cutting O.T. and re valuating my child support I am barely making ends with my primary job. Literally working for 1/2 price. So I got a 2nd P.T. job. I am somewhat excited because after 2+ years I can probably finish my car with the extra cash flow. Just thought I would share the news with you LT1 folks because if all plans out like it should, there should be another LT1 on the road soon.

Yea i get 18 and some change but after taxes and cs it breaks down to 9.xx an hour. I'm serious about working for half price. What sucks is that I still pitch in for all there extra curricular activities, school clothes (there my kids i can't see them in rags), keep them all times there out of school including all summer long.... I'm not bitching or anything but god I can't even claim one of my 2 kids at the end of the year.

ss.slp.ls1 your right the **** I go through to get our cars fast/running. At the end it will be worth it. I'll especially be glad when people stop asking "hey is your car almost done?" yea for the past 2 years everyday...!

If you have really good luck you'll get taken back to court for more child support when your kids mother finds out. Hope that doesn't happen. I've had a second job for over two years to pay for go fast parts. You'll notice that you won't use nearly as much of it as you think for modding. Good luck.

That's the good thing about this job because I can set my own schedule. I will still show up on Thursday's and still get them every other weekend. She lives about an hour away so if I don't tell her she will not find out.

You sir hit the nail on the head. 8 months later and and I have collected a few more parts. I got the short block together (1,800.00 bucks later, not including the cost of parts that went in there) Got a custom A.I. turbo cam,off the self 62cc TFS heads, OBD1 PCM and LT1 Edit with data cable.... Need all the little odds and end but that will have to wait. I've got smart and am trying to get myself out of debt, so I can live more comfortably. If all goes good I should free up about 600.00 bucks a month by the end of this year. Still got my PT job as well. It's off and on I recently started working there again, after two months off. Also If we do get a bonus this year I will get whats left and finish this summumabitch...

I worked overtime for 4 months with almost no days off to afford finishing my build. I am putting my sister through university and helping my mother support her monthly allowance as well. It was well worth it in the end when I fired her up

Good luck with the build bro.
