Default wheel specs

Hey guys im looking at going with eagle 211's. Not really sure which ones to go with. Summit comes up with 2 different rims for 17X9.5. The difference is in the backspacing. Can someone point me in the right direction here. 4.50 or 5.50 for backspacing? FYI-I plan on going 285 all around. Thanks.http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...0&autoview=sku

Why not a 10.5-11" rim and 315 tire in the rear?

More rubber=More Money
Also, the 315 is a bit too big for my liking.

well remember Im stepping up from 245's. So i think 285 is a good compromise. You must know that my 396 just put out 567 hp on motor with a M6. So, i will be roasting the tires off regularly. Im gonna stick with the 285s.

Hmm, makes the 315's sound even more plausible if you are putting down that much power IMO

Its not necessarily the size of the tire here but the compound, I could easily go through 2 sets of tires in the rear this season. I would rather sacrifice the extra width in the back for a better compound tire. If money was no object, its a different story. To stay on point, this isnt a debate I just wanna know the correct backspacing from someone who really knows. Thanks.

i dont think either will work, cuz with a ten inch wheel u need 7 bs, so i just dont see these fitting without sticking out at all

I dont mind if they stick out a little bit, I just want to know if they will be compatible with 285's. Also, will 4.5 backspacing stick out more or less than 5.5. Ultimately, will these fit in the wheel well?

the less the backspacing the more they will stick out, take a tape measure and measure 4.5 inches from the rotor mounting surface, then add another 5 to that thats where they will sit, waaaaayyy out there

Yea they will stick out probably around 1. " but you only have to measure 4" out from the mounting surface. You want a wheel with about 3" left over after you subtract the back spacing. These cars need positive offset.
