Well, for very mild mods, tell him to do a catback and a cai for starters. They've got LT1 motors, same as the 93-97 v8 F-bodies (albeit slightly detuned- rated at 260 hp while the F-Body was 275/285 hp, and the Vette was 305, all respectively). If he's really into performance, there's plenty that can be done, but intake and catback will do. They're cars, I like 'em.

SO:
I'd suggest doing an Intake, either K&N, Lingenfelter, or Moroso, and a Catback, Borla and Hooker are both great, but I'd suggest a Hooker because of the cheaper price.

Relatively same as f-body and y-body, but it has cast iron heads for what its worth. The car is so heavy, gears would be a great addition....3.42:1 is great or if he is looking to go a lil bit wilder go with 3.73's, but I wouldnt go any bigger on an auto especially if its daily driven. Super Mario is right...cold air intakes and Catback exhausts are great first additions to a performance car.

http://www.summitracing.com
http://www.lt1tech.com

and you can also check the vendors' websites. Try slp (www.slponline.com), hooker (www.holley.com), and try a lot of the sponsors from LS1tech. They all make pretty damn fine parts.

Basically, just look for anywhere that sells parts for the LT1.

Those are awesome crusing cars, I wouldnt mind trading my 93 in on one, they ride like a damn dream. I would do the basics like every one says, headers, cold air, 3.73s, exhaust and maybe a Vig 2800 converter
