Arrow new lifters?

Got a question:

The run down:

Installed a CC305, w/ 1.6s Magnum rockers, only gained 23 rwhp from the last dyno result (I know dyno results vary and i think this one was slightly low, but anyway, read on):

I talked to a guy I know that knows LT1s very well. He was thinking my low power gain from my cam (23 rwhp) could be from my lifters. It sounds very reasonable. Here's why....My lift is about .543" intake and exhaust, and combined w/ the higher spring pressure, and the fact the stock lifters have 99,000 miles on them....

Just sounds like they could be compressing too much and not getting the full effect of the cam. You guys think that sounds reasonable? Should I replace them with the Comp Cam OE or Comp Cam R? What are the differences in those two lifters?

This guy had problems w/ his setup too, and finally narrowed it down to bad lifters, and repalced the lifters and gained 21 rwhp. I am thinking I might have a similar problem. Thanks.

never heard of that before. Stock lifters are good despite what people say and Ive seen them run up to 6900 RPM's(repeatedly on a day to day basis) on a stroker motor with 60k miles on them. Now if you have a cam with XE-R lobes you might want to reconsider and go with the Comp R Lifters but the 305 cam is too small and the ramp rates are far from drastic. 23 RWHP from a small cam isnt low in my opinion, sounds about average if thats the only motor work you have done, just depends on what the mods to the car were before the cam install. I have a .536/.544(approx. lift with 1.6 RR's) and have the stock lifters and I'm around 90k HARD miles with no signs of wear. I highly doubt your lifters are creating a problem if there even is a problem to begin with.

im sorry, i changed the lifters out at 86k miles to comp cams standard replacement lifters. Was over a year ago and I forgot that i replaced them when i changed my intake gaskets. But regardless, 86K HARD miles on the stock lifters.
