Yep that's about the easiest way to do it.

While it's slightly funny for us who've done it, it's only funny in the 'God, I feel your pain man' sort of way :\

I did it with my car on a shop lift and it was a pain in the ***, but the pass side was pretty decent on the lift. I think I managed the 2 and 4 from the top though.

Just wait till it's time to do the Pass side O2 sensor

The arrow is on the front of the balancer assembly. It's small but easily noticeable.

Why do you need to find TDC?

This may sound retarded but it works: If you have small enough arms to go through the top use vaseline to lube up your forearm real good and you can slip it between the exhaust manifold and the strut tower.Like I said it sounds stupid but it works.I didnt believe it untill i tried it.

Have someone turn the motor over and put your finger in the hole for the #1 spark plug. when you feel the piston is at the top there you have it. thats how we have done it.

It's because of the generation of kids growing up who haven't had to work on vehicles before, but still like these types of cars :\ Which is doubly surprising since this generation should know how to

I used a chopstick inside the #1 cylinder spark plug hole to verify that it was at top dead center and I also looked at the rockers to verify that both the #1 int and #1 exh lifters were on the base circle.
