No, 93 and 94 are non-vented and 95 up were vented.

I think it should work fine. You could just cap off the vent port on the base and it would essentially become a non-vented opti.

Some of the other guys may know a way around it but as far as I know, it won't work at all.

It's his car. Get it running and let him deal with it later if anything goes wrong. I don't think anything would, but I wouldn't be too concerned.

I'm 95% sure you cannot. Otherwise you'd be able to do the reciprocal and make a 93-94 vented (MSD excluded) with out having to get the timing cover and vented Opti unit.

Well take the old Vented cap and put it on the 93 94 Opti and let us know If it's that easy to vent our Opti's w/o buying the MSD unit, that'd make a lot of us happier lol

That is only half of the venting ports needed. The other port is in the body of the opti. Putting a vented cap on a non-vented opti is part of how you convert a non-vented to vented. http://www.corvettefever.com/howto/16758/index.html

Caps will swap. It's just having (or not having) the vent.

Yes, it will work, but you lose the vent function.

dont care about the vent just as long as it will run. opti's dont last long enough to worry about vented or non vented
