Are you speaking of LT1 F-body? They can do much better than 115! More like closer to 160 for an M6 car.

Topped out as in? Electronically governed or ran out of power to go faster? All of my copies of the original tune are showing no governed speed, and the 90-92 TPI stock tune I loaded shows 125mph, so the program is working right. Anyways, my friend has gone over 140 in his 94 Vette which is all stock except no cats. I've gone 130+ in my 91 Formula with a 350 TPI and 144K on the clock. SO That basically takes care of both possible questions lol

These cars stock were supposed to be capable to hit around 155mph.

Rated at 155 from the factory as long as they had the Z rated tire option that removed the 115mph speed limiter. That doesn't mean they won't do more than 155 though

This is what I read in three different Mags back around 94. All tests (give or take) where within one mph of the 155.

my firebird pulled around 180 with the mods listed in the sig on the old 350. probly a bad idea spinning a stock bottom end to 6700 because the connecting rod bearings failed like 2 days later. for the haters out there that say this isnt possible you do the math. http://golenengineservice.com/calc/calcmph.htm
6700rpm (indicated on factory tach), 25.7" tire, 2.73 rear, 1:1 trans (i was in 3rd)

I've done just a hair over 160 racing a friend in his 06 GTO. The only thing I had at that time was my SLP LM1, and about 3 miles of straight road, lol.

Factory tachs are usually wrong.

Unless you're talking about the signal being off, and not the tach motor, mine is dead on with what my computer is reading

I've taken it past where the speedo would read and decided that I probably didn't need to go much faster. But I would like to see what it would do. My suspension setup makes the car feel really unstable at speed, though.
