do the 7/16 studs require removing the heads to drill and tap? not to mention is there even a tool, besides the old school one, to replace the valve springs with the heads in the engine bay?

No, the 7/16 is only larger on the top side where the poly locks thread, the part that threads into the head is the same size.

What I would do is search on here for Tim's Tool. I used that when I installed my cam and it worked pretty well. Now I have the Crane Cams spring compressor. But they are hard to find now.

Look around on this site and the others in the classifieds. You can pick a used one up cheap. Dont be afraid to get a used one. Roller cams dont wear like the old school ones.

Also post up in the wanted sections of the sites. Some one will answer it. There are alot of those cams floating around.

Default Just dont Run to soft of springs.

Builder ran softer springs then the 918 beehives. We suspect Valve float Caused this
