Y-pipe?

yes, you could get it cut out and replace it with a straight pipe. any exhaust shop could do it. try going to an independent or a friend's shop though, becos its illegal to remove the cats and chains won't do it. there is generally a sensor after the cat that monitors the composition of the exhaust gas. if the cat isn't working, itll throw a code. you have obd-1 so it might be less likely to throw a code. you could get an o2 simulator and replace the current sensor so it wont throw a code. but if you have to do a treadmill test when you go to emissions, youll fail 9.5 times out of 10 haha

I got a guy that can do it. So your sayin it has a sensor after the cat and that it might throw an error code because there is no cat anymore. And where i live we dont have emission checks here haha
