Hey guys, i just got done installing pacesetter LT's, TSP ORY, and TSP rumbler cat-back. The headers are emissions style. The car seems to run fine, but I have noticed after i drive it and park it for a little bit, then go back and start, i get some white smoke on start up, but not while driving. So i dont know if its running rich, or if its condensation burning off when i start. I dont know if this is related to the header install, if it needs tuned, or if this is normal. Also I have noticed, since the exhaust job, it tends to not want to down shift when i give it some throttle (A4), and never had this problem before the install. So just lookin for some advice, I've never did this on one of these cars before, so im learnin as i go.

It would be worthwhile for you to get a tune w/ headers and full exhaust. You will see nice gains and probably better mileage.

 

+1 I def noticed a nice change in power after my tune.

 

Would you guys recomend taking it to a speed shop, or would using a hypertech, or jet tuner work alright????? Oh, by the way, the problem I was having with it not down shifting went away, and did it flawlessly today!!!

 

I've never used one of those tuners myself. I would just do the mail order route.

 

X2 for the mail order tune. I deff noticed a gain when i did my mail order tune. I used Ion at mad tuner. Excellent guy to deal with.

 

since i don't think your near any reputable tuners in nebraska, i'd also have to say get a mail order tune. madz28 and pcm4less are the most popular. visit one of their sites and have at it

 

I was looking at the madz28 site, and think i might go that rought. Do you just give the guy a list of what all you have done to the car, and he goes from there, er how does the operation work???????

 

My vote is for Madz28 for the mail tune

 

haven't personally looked at madz28's order page, but on pcm4less you fill out a detailed form of what exactly is done to your car including gear ratios, tire size, performance mods, type of fuel you run, and other things. that is how they get the tune spot on. you can send your pcm out to them, or i think you can order one from them and once you receive it send your stock pcm back

 

Yep. Same process with MadTuner (MadZ28).
