Default oil filter threads?

ok long story short I have a different freshly machined and built lt1 block in my car right now and the original is long gone. One problem while assembling, I have no threads to screw on my oil filter. What do I need to get?

This is not my block but this is what is looks like for demonstration purposes:

I believe it's called the "oil filter adapter", and a dealer should be able to get you one.

Sumitt and Jegs have them, people on here may even have them. They will be cheaper from somewhere other than a dealer probably. But yea, it is a round metal adapter plate with 2 bolts you bolt in to the spot and the filter screws on to that adapter.

LOL - Thats my block - I demand royalties!!!! Yup, all you need is an oil filter adapter as this piece bolts separately to the block. Should be able to get them at your local AP store as well.

I don't see a problem with getting one with a spring bypass.
