Killer deals on Gen1 heads are everywhere. A while back I saw a set of heads like mine WITH shaft rockers for $1500. DUH thats a no brainer right there.

If this is so cheap why don't everyone do this? One of the main bottle necks for us LT1 guys is the head market.

well my .02 worth throw some block filler in and go if it is all out race lol... no need for water jackets but if you got em cheap then why not turn em over for a profit and put that towards some 220 afr's .......

i have a bad a$$ set of rhs heads ported by larry meaux never run. they have shafts also. pm me if your interested.

ok im going to play dumb on this one.....what are you all talking about here? reverse flow what? i saw a car at the car show once where he had single motorcycle carbs on each exhaust port of the heads and straight pipes out of the intake manifold. it was unique and couldnt quite figure out how it worked, but it did. is that what you are talking about when you say reverse flow?

Hes talking about the flow of the coolant being reverse in the LT1 compaired to the small block.

Reverse flow means the heads are cooled first and then the block, which is opposite from standard SBC's.

I don't know how many sets I have done...and would be sick to think about it... but it IS a very common conversion.... for some reason it is not talked about on the internet though...
