With all that im putting down 346

There is dyno sheet.
I would say thats a nice running car!!
Guys I had a hot cam before also and liked it at the time, now I have a real cam and love it.
Broken valve springs are from miss matched parts, like useing the hot cam sprngs with 847 or custom cam.

I might throw mine on a dyno one of these days to see what its at now. But I know mine won't throw down some crazy numbers. Probably around 330-340rwhp.
There's a guy on here with bolton's that makes 323rwhp

Pyro, yes some AI heads will help immensely. When I installed the ported heads I gained 40 rwhp, but that was with milling them .035 and using the LT-1 Impala gasket for another point compression increase. Btw, they are from Gallant Technical Performance(GTP). All us oldheads bought them back in the 90's because they were the hottest thing out there. But that only got me to 365 RWhp. After that I continued tweaking parts(like 58mm TB, EWP, ported intake, etc.) and tuning until I got the 400.

With patience, it is doable. Cripes, I put in the HOT cam in 1998 and the heads on in 1999 and the engine hasn't been apart since then.

It is definitely possible with the AI, they are very strong performers.
I call either a very generous dyno or manipulation of the numbers.

I picked up 59 RWHP adding LE2 heads to my hotcam setup. I also went from a Vig 3200 to a Vig 3600 and from FLP (off-road) to LPP (with cats) long tubes at the same time.

Same dyno (runs were 3.5 years apart) and same tuner (Speed Inc.)

I have a hot cam car without a single bolt on aside from my gmmg. Love it. With nothing else done to the car I ran a friend in a 99 T/A with the 3.23 rear gear (all stock)from 50mph-135mph...I had about half a car (or a little less actually)on him the whole way. And I know we've all heard it a thousand times...."You had to put a cam in it just to keep up". Well when were sitting in the parking lot mine sounds better and gets more compliments, who cares! I know for a fact he put down 302rwhp about 2 years ago when he put the car on the dyno. Either way, its not the best, its not the worst, but I can drive it every single day and it still puts a smile on my face every time I turn the key. Personally, I could care less what it puts down so long as I still enjoy it! Haha, to each his own and that's my two cents. Also I put mine on the dyno before I did anything to it and I put down 224rwhp and 251rwtq. Curious to know what it would do now.

Default LT4 Hot Cam

Is it a nice cam? Yes.
Is it the best cam? Far from it!

I don't know what all the discussion is about.

A friend of mine has a full bolt on car making 327rwhp and 340rwtq, so I could see a hot cam car making 400 but I would think the conditions would have to be extremly favorable.

Ill put some AI 200's on the car with the hotcam and see what it puts down. If I'm not happy I can always upgrade the cam later When money allows
