I love the Holley. I used to have a 52mm with no problems and have since upgraded to the 58mm (once again with no problems).

You gonna tell us the cam specs?
Runs on 93 pump gas. It has some minor weight reduction already done, but it won't be a stripper.

Cam is a custom grind high 230s, mid 240s, around .60x lift on a 108 lobe.

Thanks all for the comments!

Very nice. Looks like a great example of a build done right.

That cam looks to be about the same as mine, maybe a tick bigger. Sounds great man good job on a nice build. That green manifold looks awesome. I like to see things that are different from everyone elses stuff.

Thanks. Everyone is either black or red anymore.

Haha I know mine's red. I almost left it grey but even though everyone and their mother has a red manifold I still like it.

Sounds great. Good work! I personally think 12:4:1 is the perfect compression for a reverse cooled lt1 and a good tune. My build is also almost "identical" just slighty more on the intake and less on the exhaust, aprox. same lift and LSA

You guys really think that much compression is perfect for the street on pump gas? I am not doubting yall or anything but I am kinda second guessing my build I know if I went from 11:2:1 to 12:4:1 I would definately pick up a lil power on the motor. I was just afraid of getting bad gas also my motor was built to run on a big shot.
Cam is 247/258 .606 lift on 108 lsa

I do.

Especially if you want to spray like you said - nitrous loves compression.

***edit*** just to clear up, that is assuming you are running a cam with enough duration and overlap to keep the dynamic CR down. I wouldn't run 12.5:1 on a tiny little baby cam, but with a good tune and the right cam it would be fine on 93 octane.

Yea your right it does but I kinda wanted the motor built for reliability. Do you think my cam is big enough to handle that kind of compression on pump gas? . Hey do you think thats the reason why my motor is kinda a turd below 3500 rpms cause not running enough compression maybe that would help out a lil huh? That and get rid of the LT4 intake and put the stocker back on and port it

Def. big enough to run 12:5:1, I ran 12:4:1 with a 230/236 110 LSA, however decided that was pushing it--->bigger cam. I also run E85 so that I can run aggressive timing.

Judging from what I've seen on other combos, it should make peak power around 6200 - 6300, so I'll spin it to 6500 for starters.

With a cam that big I would expect it to make power way past what you stated. AChotrods makes power to like 6400 and I know his cam is not as big as yours. I would honestly think it would peak at 6500-6700 and require shifting at close to 7000. Only one way to find out for sure though.
