No problem, I've had it happen to one of my sbc motors as the either the block was decked, the heads milled or the intake resurfaced (likely more than one); effectively creating a non-parallel surface between the heads and intake that would not seal. I would assume your situation is less severe, and I would be sure to clean and rough up the the surfaces. Use Indian head gasket shellac around the passages if it will not seal otherwise. good luck
