Default 97 Trans Am LT1 to 95 Camaro 3.8 swap

Okay, I found a smashed 97 TA that's missing a tranny and a rear end, this one is OBDII. Now here's the problem... to make a 97 LT1 work in my 95 I was told I need to swap the entire dash... Is there any tuning you can do to make it so I don't have to do that? I'm going to try and get another 4L60e locally.

Direct quote from TACreations;
As for the gauges you need to have them match the year of the harnesses that you are using (93) (94-96 cluster with 94 or 95 or 96 harness). If you use a 97 you will need to change the entire dash assembly including crash pad, HVAC, Radio, Bezels and console assembly. This is because the 97 uses a different shape cluster.

Other issues are with the airbags and my car has drum brakes, is there any tuning I could do to avoid these problems?

There's no way around swapping the dash and doing a bunch of BS work?
