Ion Soltan!....
I dont know what material is on the clutch you're using, but I've had a lot of experience with the southbend clutches in 8,000lb trucks and there is no break in...
Install, and drive like you're going to.
That's with a combo of organic and feramic facing materials.
I have had my original GMPP tune which was from SLP, an update that was from JET, another update from pcmforless, and my most recent update from Ion, in which the car runs the smoothest it has since new. All were mail order tunes except the SLP one, all improved the car in one way or another. I am very happy with Ion's work, and would use him from now on.

The first drive is crutial (SP), I ended up pulling my motor and rehoning and installing new rings because they didn't seat right on the first setup. I was on a new clutch the 2nd time around. You don't have to go out and do 6500 clutch drops or anything, but some 1/2 throttle pulls to 3500 or so then let the motor slow you back down, don't brake or push in the clutch. Then do a 4000 pull at 1/2 throttle and slow back down, then a couple 3/4 throttle pulls and you should be good.
Thats what I did the 2nd time around and my rings are good now. If you put 1k miles of grandma driving you are probably hurting more than its helping.

im glad to see im not the only one! it were because of the responses and feedback that were given about madtuner that made me go with him. and im very happy i did
everythings been real nice so far... my valve train is abit blah and i think i have a bad lifter
my #1 cylinders exhaust lifter bleeds out way to fast and doesnt retain its height i dont think... its giving me abit of a situation. ill write up a thread on it when i get more involved with it EDIT: looks like people already beat me to the punch.
Plus, chances are if something is going to fly apart, its going to be sooner then later. 500 miles on my engine and it has track passes on it.

His tune was not running worth crap, he was not willing to do anything about it. Eventually would not answer for me or the customer. Took the car to jeff creech and picked up 100 rwhp over madz28..... no one was happy. This was a 93 btw
