Spend the money on a nice Comp, LE, or Ai cam. My recommendations would be:

Either
Comp's 224/230 .502/.510 112 LSA aka "CC503"
or
LE's 226/230 .565/.565 111 LSA
or
Ai's 226/234 - .569/.570 - 110 LSA

as long as its a roller cam yes you can! the only difference that i know of it the length of the dowel pin, the lt1 cam pin is longer for the optispark drive, just switch dowel pins and you should be ok

Without you posting all the specs on the camshaft you're considering and just considering the valve lift numbers you posted (.640/.645), you're about to make a BIG MISTAKE.

That much cam is an awful choice for a stock, 350 LT1. You're going to hate it.

That said, how about posting all the specifics and details of what your plans are for the engine and your engine specs.

That cam is huge. I hope you dont plan on driving the car on the street and spinning around 8000 rpms.

Why not just get one of the cam's I suggested?

That cam is WAYYY to big for you. That cam would be more suited in a 400+ cube motor or one that spins to the moon.

Also "some head work" is very vague.

Standard SBC cams do not have the nose drilled to engage the snout of the optispark (vented models).

Check this site for a lot of information on some different camshafts you could use.

Good thing you posted here because you were considering something that wouldn't work for you; not at all.
