Default 1.6 rr

I was a dumbass didnt do research and bought SA RR's when I need NSA.

My question is, is there any difference between the Gen1 RR's and the LT's. or are they both compatible with each other. I was looking on summit racing and i could not find a decent set of fairly inexpensive 1.6 NSA RR's. I was going to pick up the summit brand, however they only have the 1.6 nsa for the gen 1 motor.

BTW if anyones interested in a set of 1.6 sa rr's pm me.

I believe they are identical.

I usually recommend getting Comp Pro Mags NSA 1.6 ratio for a 7/16" stud.

whats the difference between 3/8" and 7/16" studs. I have already purchased the 3/8" and dont want to return them unless there is a big difference with the two of em.

It really depends on what you are doing with the car. If you are mild performance the 3/8 studs will be just fine. If you are more of a performance type of driver you will want to upgrade to NSA rr,hardened pushrods and guide plates for added stability.
7/16 studs are much thicker and provide a stiffer area for deflection whereas the 3/8 will flex at higher RPM. If i were in your situation i would sell the SA rockers and get the 7/16 set up strength in the valvetrain is something you should always have.

Yeah I know a strong valvtrain can mean the difference power wise.

I already have chromoly pushrods, guideplates, 3/8 top - 7/16 bottom studs.
Studs
I just need to get the nsa 1.6 rr's cuz I was an idiot and bought the wrong ones lol.

Do you think this would be a stable top end setup for a street car with a 355 bottom and AI heads and cam?

it will be as stable as 3/8 stud will allow. i would NEVER entertain the thought of a good cam and SA rockers though

The right way, lol. You need an adj pushrod and either a solid lifter or a test spring. Do a search here or on and you should be able to find a nice write up.
