Default Its finally running

Well got my car running much better than is was last night. Finally got the LT-4 Hot Cam in. I have two questions. The first one is my oil pressure guauge is not getting any signal. I had replaced the sending unit about 2-3 months ago. Could it be bad or any other ideas. Also when the car is running the check engine light is flashing. Is this normal for a untunned car or should I get it check out?

You need to hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge and make sure you have oil pressure first of all. When the cel is flashing that means that there is a misfire. Your car does need to be tuned but it should not be misfiring. You need to hook up a scanner and pull the codes and go from there

Way to go! Is it me or does your valvetrain sound a little noisy?
Its crazy how the hotcam sounds so different in everyones car.

that engine sounds really weird. rockers sound real noisy. How much preload you running on the lifters/rockers?

After I put my cam in I adjusted the rockers with the engine off and the valvetrain was really noisy and the car stumbled and back fired when I got on it. I took off the covers and adjusted the rockers again with the car running and it runs perfect now.

While you won't run perfect untuned, you shouldn't be misfiring badly. I would double check your plug wire routing and make sure that all the boots are seated properly.

As mentioned get a tune.

well i think i might need some plug wires. I have one full turn on the rockers at the moment. My first run was 1/2 turn and I had a really bad tick from cylinder number 1. Dont know if it was the intake or exhaust or both. I herd from someone else that is could be a misfire or what sounds like a really bad exhaust leak.

Also I know I am getting oil pressure due to the fact when i took of my valve covers the rockers had oil on them
