Hey:
Well, when most people talk hardware, they don't talk bolt head size, they talk bolt thread/shank size, pitch/length, as head size can vari by manufacture.
Go to a machine shop or Hardware store and ask for a 3/4" or 19mm bolt and see what you get, probally a little bigger than a 3/4" head they will be. The bolts all 6 of them are 3/8" 16 x 1 1/2 with a 9/16" head most of the time, as they may have a 1/2" flange head as well, but are still 3/8 16 x 1 1/2 bolts
As for them being 4, 2 of the 6 trannies I have in front of me, have Studs in the bolt holes, with nylon press nuts, so I was giving the benefit that some not all have 4 bolts, so I guess I should have mentioned that you may have 2 bolts and 2 studs or 4 bolts as, that would have been more accurate. People have attempted to remove transmissions and forgot to remove them before I'm sure, finally this was ment to be more of a reminder to the op not to forget them
No worries

Just had mine apart last week........
On an LT1 car, there are 6 bolts that attach the tranny to the engine. Two are low on each side, adjacent to the dowell pins, and two are on "top" of the bellhousing, at the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions. (torque spec for all 6 is 35 ft/lbs)
The bolts are, as already mentioned, 3/8-16 x 1 1/2". The HEADS of the bolts are 9/16".......
