Default Question?

Hi I have a 97 camaro lt1, and I was just pulling out off the gas station and my car started bogging down real hard. So I pulled into the gas station and popped my hood and started looking around.. And I noticed that my cool air intake had fallen of off my MAF... now I was curious as to if that is what was making it bog down? I putt it all back together and drove my car home, with no problems... but should I be looking for something else or could that make my car bog down like that?

dude, if you air intake falls off... your car is NOT going to run. lol. guaranteed. make sure that thing is screwed in tight and installed properly.

If your intake disconnected from the MAF and the MAF stayed connected to the TB by the intake elbow, they you'd likely notice nothing at all. If the intake and MAF got disconnected from the intake elbow allowing air in that doesn't pass through the MAF, then yes, it will cause your car to run poorly if at all.
