Cat Delete Questions
ive been thinkin about getting rid of my cat and just running a straight pipe...i dont have a cat back i just have an electric cut out and i plan on getting LT's and ORY soon...my question is..how will this effect the sound of my exhaust..i heard things like it gets raspy when you delete the cat and i do not want a raspy exhaust...and for the record the cut out is open the majority of the time lol thanks

yea ive had no cats since 06 and if the loudmouth can be considered to have a "muffler" then i have that as well...resonator i suppose. ill tell you one thing, the combination in my car is absolutely obnoxious, just the way i like it haha it is extremely loud but not quite raspy per say. it does drone quite a bit throughout starting at around 2k if i really get on it....ill post my vid and let it do the talking, just a little exhaust clip....

Mine was gutted by it's original owner.
When I had a stock muffler I couldn't even notice the high rpm popping that the cat made.
When I had a no muffler dump it was loud as **** and sounded like someone setting off several M80's underneath my car.
Now with a Thrush (flowmaster ripoff) muffler the cat popping is loud but not overly obnoxious.

Once the cat went away and the lts and ory went on, I felt some nice gains. The car got IMMEDIATELY much more fun to drive.
